About
How it began
In 2001, a group of co-operative-minded people from the Jain community decided to start a co-operative of their own. The society was established in Konnur on 22 November 2001. Founded and chaired by Shri. Bahubali Patil, a prominent community figure from Konnur, the society continues to grow under his dedicated leadership.
The founders were young and energetic, and they have led the society well. Shri. Bahubali Patil is its creator and guide, and he has worked with his directors in confidence and good faith. The society collects shares and deposits from the public with care, and its annual reports confirm its steady progress.

ಸಹಕಾರ ನಿಮ್ಮದು, ಸೇವೆ ನಮ್ಮದು.
Cooperation is yours, service is ours.
Why co-operation
India lives in its villages, and agriculture is its main occupation. Mahatma Gandhi dreamed of “Gramodhar”. The freedom of the economy is the real freedom of a country, so the society works for the economic welfare of the public, and that welfare builds self-confidence.
The father of the co-operative movement in India is the late Siddanagouda Sannaramangouda Patil of Kanaginahal, Gadag district. Following the path of Mahatma Gandhi and Siddanagouda Patil, the society has helped many members build their own economic “Soudh”.
Today
The society serves everyone, regardless of caste or religion. It took early steps to upgrade its technology and is fully computerised. It offers e-Stamping, Demand Drafts, NEFT and RTGS.
The present Board is made up of experienced business professionals who take an active interest in the society's work, and its professional management is transparent in its approach. The chairman seeks the guidance and blessings of the town's elders, and the society is also engaged in social activities.
